Calls, emails and the never ending deadlines. It’s easy to get caught up in worklife. At CrowdSouth we know that the key to maintaining a healthy work-life balance is making it a point to take care of ourselves outside of work. The phrase “It’s not life or death” is often said around our office, and though we all know this to be true, we have to remind ourselves every once in a while that it’s okay to step away from the office and the emails, and enjoy some much needed time off.
Taking time away to recharge and regroup is essential for our CrowdSouth crew, which is why our team is here to remind you to take a deep breath, step away from the screens and to use those vacation days!
We’ve pulled together some of favorite vacation recommendations and travel spot to share. So whether you’re planning an epic getaway, an outdoor adventure or just looking to head out for some classic family fun, let’s all take a deep breath and remember that it’s okay to get away and enjoy some time off!

Place To Visit: The National Parks out West!
Recommendation: I recommended a national park trip out west! We did the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Zion National Park with a stop at Horseshoe Bend. All are beautiful locations that pictures can’t do justice to. Bonus points if you go in the winter when it’s snowy even more beautiful! (but a lot more challenging to hike!)

Place To Visit: Gatlinburg, TN
Recommendation: I like going to Gatlinburg in the fall. It’s easy to get to, there’s a ton of stuff to do for everyone in the family and cabin options for any size group. If you go be sure to check out the year-round indoor snow tubing!

Place To Visit: Boston, MA
Recommendation: I like going to Boston because my best friend lives there. If you go be sure to do the Freedom Trail and stop at the Bell in Hand and Green Dragon Tavern.

Place To Visit: Aruba
Recommendation: My favorite vacation spot has to be Aruba. The snorkeling was amazing and driving Jeeps around the island was a blast. If you visit you have to visit Madame Janette’s for dinner. The ambiance is amazing. White tablecloth tables set amongst twinkle-lit trees…and it’s seriously one of the best meals I’ve EVER had!

Place To Visit: Charleston, SC
Recommendation: I love going to Charleston. It’s a beautiful city to explore. If you go, be sure to try a walking “ghost” tour in the evening. It’s not scary, just a unique/fun way to see the city!
Jason Heflin
Place To Visit: Yellowstone National Park
Recommendation: We love National Parks. Yellowstone is a great place for kids to disconnect from technology and their daily patterns and experience nature up close and personal … and no cell phone service!

Place To Visit: St. Simons Island, GA
Recommendation: One of my favorite vacation spots is St. Simons Island, Georgia. I love the beautiful beaches and the low-key community where you can explore the entire Island on a golf cart. If you go, be sure to check out Pier Village for more than 50 shops and restaurants, or make your way to St. Simons Island Lighthouse Museum for a little bit of coastal Georgia
History.

Place To Visit: Arizona
Recommendation: I love going anywhere in Arizona during this time of year because although it’s their hottest season, it’s still so different from a Kentucky summer! Most times I go, my family and I visit Mount Lemmon in Summerhaven. It’s the perfect “getaway” from the heat because it’s far enough north that it cools down. If you go, I recommend going all the way to the top to see all the different climates and views you get on the way up!

Place To Visit: Italy
Recommendation: If you ever get the opportunity to travel internationally I can not recommend Italy enough. There is so much to experience. It’s truly life-changing. The county is beautiful and the food is *chef’s kiss*. The best meal I have ever had will forever be the Spaghetti alla Busara at Povoledo! I highly recommend taking any cooking class or food tour while you’re there. Venice, Florence, Pisa, or Rome… You can’t go wrong!
